I spent more time viewing art than creating it today. We saw many great art pieces at BYU today. And it was better than Burger Supreme (we keep telling ourselves).
Mary, Vanessa and I explored the new BYU campus trail and stream. It's lovely and was a nice way to spend this pseudo-holiday (July 24, Pioneer Day--but it's actually the 25th today).
Happy Halloween? This firework is called "The Joker" and I have to admit it was a little creepy looking. Only in Utah can you shoot fireworks from July 1 to July 25. And shoot them we did.
A dinner at La Jolla Grove to celebrate Lisa's birthday. A good time was had by all. So good...we're hoping to celebrate somebody's birthday EVERY month. Doesn't matter whose it is.
Atticus came all the way from China yesterday so I could meet him. And I love him already. And if you look closely, you can see Aunt Dee in his eyes...so he must love me too.
Paul and I went to a B-B-Q restaurant in Payson. It was very good and reasonably priced considering you get L.G. singing Country/Western songs for your entertainment. Dinner and a show! The best part about it? Stuart McGraw was our waiter!
I would like to say that I purposely went up to Squaw Peak for a photo session, but really we were just driving around trying to find something to do...other than hit Burger Supreme...again.
I haven't knitted since I was a Merrie Miss. Trying to teach this old dog a new trick. Though my knitting leaves much to be desired, sitting on the porch in the evening with my sister and listening to music while we knitted was very desirable.
Watched my nephew, Rob McGuire, perform with his band, "The Whits" tonight at Sammy's. They are pretty awesome. Great show (despite the crazy dude running around).
Actually, I don't know if it's Parisian or not. Mary taught me the fine art of this meal and she's lived in Paris so that counts, right? Anyway...it's one of my favorite dinners. Merci Mary!
The funny thing about this picture is that I've been thinking about taking a picture of lightening all week. So when the opportunity presented itself, I grabbed at it.
Happy 4th of July! Our 11th annual Cul-de-Sac of Fire seemed to go well. We love doing it. This was the first year we were rained on, however. No big deal. It just made the temperature perfect.
We were the first family to arrive at Seeley Lake and there was a contest of who would get in the water first. But when they found out how cold it was...they rethought their plan.
