What a gorgeous day! After yesterday's dismal weather...this was a welcome relief. The dogs were happy, Mary was happy, I was happy. All was right with the world...for the time being.
This turned out to be kind of a big disappointment. I was hoping for a really cool list of books to read. Turns out there is no list. Just read whatever you want. Bummer.
Meet Jake Parker--illustrator and creater of the graphic novels: "Missle Mouse". He gave a little assembly at school today and talked about drawing. Then he had the kids help him with a cartoon. It was pretty interesting.
Totally breaking my rule of one picture and one picture only. But Canyon Crest Elementery just put on Shakespeare's "The Tempest" and they did a marvelous job. Congrats to all who participated but especially Cy Lee (Adrian), Asher Franks (Prospero), and Theo Lee (Ferdinand).
Seth sang "Hey Jude" at the pillow concert and totally rocked it. This is just a thumbnail from the video I took of him. I was so mesmerized by his performance that I forgot to take a picture.
It's the old joke: If you don't like the weather in Utah, wait 5 minutes.
After a couple of days of sunshine, they say a storm is moving in for the rest of the week. Oh well. I got my yard work done and most of the garden planted.
Poor Theo Lee...split his head open after falling out of the swings at school. 5 stitches later...he's getting the attention he deserves...by making it on my blog!!!!!
